SUSTAIN Pre-Event
The SUSTAIN Pre-Event is the official curtain-raiser to the SUSTAIN Series - a structured platform designed to orient and engage participants ahead of the flagship event. It delivers a comprehensive overview of the event's vision and thematic focus, while introducing teams to real-world sustainability challenges. By combining orientation, interaction, and strategic guidance, it lays the foundation for effective participation with clarity and cohesion.
Trainee Program
A two-day hands-on initiative covering key subsystems - Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, and Architecture - to introduce students to the vast scope of sustainability in housing. Each session focuses on a distinct subsystem, concluding with quizzes and certificates upon completion. Primarily targeted at freshers, but open to all years and departments.
Department Orientation
The Department Orientation (Oreo) is Team SHUNYA's official presentation to the All the departments at IIT Bombay. It serves as the primary touchpoint where the team introduces its vision, ongoing projects, achievements, and recruitment process to the incoming student body.
ITC Orientation
Team SHUNYA participated in the Institute Technical Council orientation for newly admitted UG and PG students. Through a brief presentation and interactive discussion, freshers were familiarised with the team's ongoing projects, opportunities for involvement, and the broader impact of sustainable housing solutions - inspiring newcomers to contribute to meaningful initiatives at IIT Bombay.
SHUNYA House Visit
School students from institutions visited the SHUNYA house at IIT Bombay, exploring eco-friendly technologies including energy-efficient systems, water conservation mechanisms, and sustainable construction materials. The interactive session let them engage directly with the team and gain a deeper understanding of how innovation builds a greener future.
Tech-Connect
TechConnect is a unique platform that provides opportunity to IIT Bombay faculty, researchers and students to present prototypes, working models and research projects to industry leaders, academics and the general public, highlighting the most innovative research and technological advancements from across IIT Bombay.
